BISHOP SPENCER H. RIDDICK, JR.

Bishop Spencer H. Riddick, Jr. is the founding pastor of Abundant Life Christian Community Center located in Portsmouth, Virginia. He is also the Presiding Prelate of Divine Covenant Fellowship Ministries which currently oversees ministries in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky.
He is the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Hidden Manna School of Biblical Studies and serves as the First Administrative Assistant to Bishop Cranford M. Davis. Bishop is also known for his powerful deliverance ministry and his ability to build apostolic teams to sustain God's culture in the earth.
His hearts desire is to see hurting and hopeless leaders fully restored to their God-given purpose. Bishop Riddick is a humble servant that embodies, Isaiah 61:1, preaching good tidings to the meek, binding up the broken hearted, proclaiming liberty to the captive and opening the prisons of them that are bound.
FOUNDATION STORY
Abundant Life Christian Center was birthed out of the prayers and prophetic insight of our founding pastor, Spencer H. Riddick, Jr. (Bishop). We opened the doors of our ministry for the first time on Sunday, December 2, 2001 in the city of Norfolk, Virginia. Founded as a deliverance ministry, word quickly began to spread of the great and mighty moves of God that were taking place at our first location. This prompted the swift acquisition of a new facility to accommodate the rapid growth experienced during those early stages of our ministry. Over the years, "A.L.C.C." became more than a name, it was our mantra. Our commitment to being "Always Loving, Caring and Compassionate" resonated in the hearts of those who were new to the church experience and was a breath of fresh air to those who had endured negative church experiences in the past. We continued to find further success after declaring our ministry a "No Judge Zone," where people could come as they were but through God's power, they could leave better than they came. Bishop Riddick successfully led our ministry for 17 years and under his leadership many souls were saved and set free, many hearts were converted, and many lives were transformed. In the summer of 2018, Michael K. Goodman was installed as Senior Pastor and charged to continue the great work God had begun through our founder. A little over a year after transitioning leadership, we also transitioned to our current location in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia and added "Community" to our name. This signaled our shift of becoming "more than a church." Under Pastor Mike's leadership, we continue to build upon the rich legacy birthed over 20 years ago.
